For recording information about manufacturers.  The Manufacturer's name can be linked to an inventory item. (see Manufacturers)

Entering the manufacturer's web address gives you an immediate link to the web site when you click the [F3] button at the far left.  You can then review any new documentation about the inventory item in question.
