Navigation:  Master Menus Ready Reference > Primary Centers > Inventory Center > Inventory Listing > Copy An Item

As a tool for creating new inventory, you can clone an existing inventory item very similar to a new one to be created.  First highlight the existing item, then choose this Copy button.

All of the properties and values of the original (except for the SKU) are copied into a new record.

Make changes to the description and enter a new SKU.

Make any other changes you wish, and choose OK.

Make the Long Description  Match the Description field

•delete the Long Description  contents,

•click on the Description field

•click on the Long Description  field and it fills in the Long Description field.

TIP: In System Setup, you can choose to eliminate the use of the Long Description field.
