Setup For Quickbooks

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The very first thing to do is to install the QuickBooks Foundation Class Library 4.0. We include the QBFC 4.0 in the POSitive folder of your POSitive installation. The QuickBooks Foundation Class Library 4.0 enables developers to write applications that exchange data with Quickbooks. In order for POSitive™ to communicate with QuickBooks the QBFC 4.0 needs to be installed on the computer running both software products.

The second step is to install the very latest version of POSitive™ to assure proper integration. Ask the Support Department if your release of POSitive™ is the latest and greatest. Within POSitive™, simply click: Help > About > Release

You will know the communication is active when you receive the Intuit Security Prompt window after launching PRMQB.exe from within the POSitive folder. Do not attempt or expect that the integration is going to work until you receive the Intuit Security Prompt!
