Deleting an inventory item has a few safeguards to make sure that an item in not deleted unintentionally and to give you an option for recovering the deleted item.
WARNING: After deleting an inventory item IMMEDIATELY go to Deleted Items Manager and Purge the item. This will prevent future complications.
Delete the Highlighted Item
This button will delete the highlighted inventory item(s) Check mark multiple items and choose Delete if certain conditions are met.

• | not on a purchase order (see Inventory Item In Use) |
Confirm Deletion
You will first be taken to the Confirm Item Deletion screen and you will see Status "OK To Delete" or "Items In Stock, Cannot Delete"
Choose Process [F10]
Inventory Item In Use
If an item is included on a customer's pending transaction or on a purchase order you will see the Inventory Item In Use screen warning that the item cannot be deleted. One option could be to replace the item with a substitution.
Deleted Items Manager
If the item is actually deleted, it will be placed in the Deleted Items Manager
The item is not permanently deleted and can be recovered by tagging and choosing Recover. On the other hand, you can permanently delete the item by tagging the item and choosing Purge.
