Go to Management: Gift Cards.
Add - The add button allows you to pre-enter gift certificates with pre-set amounts, so that when you sell a gift certificate, of that certificate number, the amount is already filled in. Note, however, that this will inflate the Gift Certificates Outstanding report.
•Generate [F5] - Like the Add button, you can create a Gift Certificate entry in advance. The Generate button lets your create a series of similar gift certificates. You enter the starting and ending numbers on the certificates and assign them a dollar value. When you choose Process [F10] the certificates are created. (Only numeric characters are allowed.)
•In this example, it will generate 5 gift cards numbered 12001, 12002, 12003, 12004 and 12005 with a $20.00 value for each of them. Again, however, that this will inflate the Gift Certificates Outstanding report.
