Activate UPS World Ship Compatibility - This is a third-party program which is free to businesses who want to use UPS shipping. First, install the program as per their instructions. Then there is an interface for mapping POSitive address fields to match UPS World Ship address fields. There are a few steps required for proper setup, but it can be customized to meet your company needs. Ask your dealer for specific help or more information.
| • | If checked, POSitive will link to UPS World Ship which must be running in the background. It will cause a redesign of Ship To address information (separate lines for each element). Unlike Starship, there is no automatic calculation of freight charges, but specialized shipping labels will be printed. |
| • | This is used ONLY with Pending Transactions to create the label, never with Invoices. (see Add A Shipping Record) |
| • | If unchecked, no options will be in effect. |
Activate Starship Interface - Starship is a third party Multi-Carrier shipping software program designed for high volume shipment processing and automatically calculates shipping charges based upon the carrier and the weights of the items being sold.
| • | If checked, POSitive will link to Starship.which must be running in the background. On the invoice or order, an invoice button titled "Calc Shipping" will use the customer's shipping address, the weight of each piece being sold, and after selecting the shipping method, will calculate the shipping charges and add it as a FREIGHT line on the invoice. |
| • | MUST edit Maintenance: Definitions: Invoicing: Invoice Buttons to include "Calc Shipping" function as a button while invoicing. |
| • | If unchecked, no options will be in effect. |
After Calling Starship --
| • | Update Shipping Charges On The Invoice Automatically |
| • | Prompt To Update Shipping Charges On The Invoice |
| • | Do Not Update Shipping Charges On The Invoice - only adds the shipping tracking number on the invoice |
| • | NOTE: There is documentation on POSitive Software Company's website which explains the exact steps for setting up Starship with POSitive. |
Include Country In Ship-To Address - If you sell internationally, the customer address can include the name or code for the country.
| • | Exclude Countries - Enter the country name exactly as it is spelled in the Country Definitions screen (Mainenance: Definitions: Countries). Entries do not require separate lines nor commas, but spelling is important. |
