A Gift Registry is a listing of inventory items in a quote which a couple would like purchased in their behalf.. A quote does not draw upon your stock count and can be printed, duplicated, or otherwise modified to meet the needs of a wedding couple, for example.
Advance Preparation
You will need to register the optional Quotes module of POSitive.
How To Create A Gift Registry
1) Create a new quote for the wedding couple.
2) Add desired items to the quote. Adjust pricing applying global discounts as desired.
TIP: a data collector allows the customer to roam the store and select desired items. Then all you have to do is import the data from the scanner into the quote. See data collector.
3) Print and Save the Quote
How To Fulfill Items From the Gift Registry
When friends of the couple come to make purchases, you can print the quote for them as a reference list.
When they have made their selection create an invoice for them.
If you choose, you can annotate the original quote to indicate items which have been purchased already.
