Once the Signature Capture device is installed and the setup completed in POSitive, the signature information is captured and saved.
A Report Writer report will be required so that the captured graphic is included above the signature field. Contact your dealer or POSitive sales for more information.
You will be sent a file which needs to be installed in your POSitive product. *** INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS *** Copy the form to the clipboard Go to the Start Button. Choose My Computer On the server, open the drive and directory where POSitive is installed Save the file in the folder called ToInstall in your main POSitive directory. For example if you have PRM you would copy the report file into c:\positive\prm\positivereports\toinstall . Close and Run POSitive. After the file is copied into the “ToInstall” folder, restart POSitive and go to Maintenance: Station Manager. Edit the Station which will be using the Topaz Signature hardware 1) Choose Printers/Email 2)Choose Invoice 3)Select Reporter as the printer type 4)Select the proper Laser/Inkjet printer (note this form does not work with a 40col printer) 5)Click on the lookup button for the form under Reporter Type 6)On the far left, choose Printing Options and at the far right activate “Delay Printing until Transaction is saved” 7)Choose OK [F10] to close the window and save your settings. Exit POSitive and restart POSitive To test the form - Go to Invoice History, highlight an invoice and choose Print. Select Default. |
Invoices which have Signatures will have a "push pin" icon beside the invoice number. Choose "Documents" under "Properties" at the left and you will see the attachments in the panel at the bottom You can "View/Launch" the signature. There will be two line entries. View the JPG type. The magnification of the image can be reduced to show the full image. Sample
