NOTE: This feature is only supported by Vantiv credit card processing. Credit card numbers may be entered once and are converted into "tokens", which are special, encrypted files that have no use or value outside of your POS system. The actual credit card number is stored by Vantiv, so there is no actual credit card information stored in your POS system. When a "card on file" payment is made, the token is sent to Vantiv and they match it to the card information they have securely stored in their system.
